My Autobiography

It was late midnight when a woman gave birth in a cute little girl in the 23rd day of June 1990, in a small house in barangay Alua, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. With an overwhelm feeling, they named this girl Nelly – what a cute name – right? Yes that’s how my life started. With the love and care of my father Jesus Sicat and my mother Jovita Sicat I grew a good girl. At the age of 3, God granted my parents another offspring - a boy they named Joey. After 2 years my mother gave birth again another boy which they named – Jonell. At the age of 5, they decided to send me in a formal school. I can say that I enjoyed my elementary days, more on bonding with my friends and classmates. First stepping stone in my life – the primary school where I graduated as a Salutatorian. After finishing my elementary level, I was sent in a catholic school for my secondary level. It was the Saint Paul School in the town of San Antonio.San Antonio became my home town for about 5 years, from first year high school to my first year college. I went back to San Isidro – my original home town when I was 17 years old, to pursue one of my dreams to became a politician.I ran for the 2007 Sanguniang Kabataan election as Chairman, but sad to say I failed to have that position. I respect it because I know it was Gods plan. I enjoyed every moment of my life, there are lots of problems but I considered it as trials that can make me strong. As I remember when I entered college I involved into an organization named YCSC. Then a month later when the University conducted its yearly school election I ran As a B.O.T. I do not expect that I will win – But as I said, I accepted it because I know that it was Gods plan.My second year college is one of the most precious moments I ever had. At the age of 17 my interest focuses into sports – wherein I decided to play table tennis. I became one of the players of the campus. Because I am also a member of the Campus Student Council and an organization – I was able to attend out of town seminars, were I enjoyed a lot! I also became a member of an organization outside the school the SPES, a part of the LGU of our Municipality. January 2008 – the LGU and Mayor Sonia Lorenzo sent me in Ateneo De Manila University for a seminar entitled “ The first Future Leader of Asian Forum” – were I encounter different people from different places of the world .This Seminar gives me a wonderful experience – I won the contest as the “ Best Social Entrepreneurship – health sector. Because of it my name was post in the Campus wall; the whole University was congratulating me for this Accomplishment.Until now, even though I’m still an YCSC an SPES, a CSC and a Table tennis member I am happy – Some kind of a busy person? I think I’m not!Now I am a third year college student, taking up BSE major in English. I’m enjoying my studies as well as my love life.I can say that I am happy for who I am, for whom I with, and for what I have. As I always said it was “Gods plan”.
